White Birch Lodge hosts a variety of guest accommodations as well as indoor and outdoor event space. Outside of the Wedding related events, guests can relax in a beautiful Up North setting, see below for a complete list of activities and amenities. These aspects coupled with our unparalleled hospitality makes White Birch Lodge such a unique and fun place to celebrate with all your friends and family! We have been here for over 60 years!
EVENT SPACES
Our historic Dining Hall offers about 2,000 square feet of designable space. When the Dining Hall is set at maximum capacity for dinner it can seat 150 guests. Outside of the Dining Hall the resort hosts plenty of outdoor space you will be able to utilize for additional event space. The Lodge also provides tables and chairs for you to use in your event set up. Number of tables and chairs is limited to our inventory, you are of course welcome to bring in additional rentals.

GUEST ACCOMMODATIONS
Your wedding weekend at White Birch Lodge will be just that.. YOURS! We will be closed to the general public, you and your guests will be guaranteed exclusive access to booking accommodations and won’t have to worry about any other guests being on the property during your event.
One of the best parts about having a wedding at WBL is that all your guests get to stay right here on the property with you! There are 31 guest accommodations at the resort, sleeping about 140-150 guests. These accommodations vary from simple hotel style rooms to 3 bedroom condos with a full kitchen & laundry. We require a 2 night stay for all reservations.
RECREATION & ACTIVITIES
Guests at WBL have access to the following amenities and activities… Elk Lake! Our private beach, with lounge chairs will be open and our docks will be in. Guests can relax and swim from the docks and beach. We have paddleboards and kayaks available for guest use.Guests are also welcome to bring their own boats (no jet skis), we have mooring buoys available for them to rent. Our tennis court, beach volleyball court and bocce ball court will be open and we have the equipment for everything! We also have a few adult bikes for guests to use.
A short bike ride, walk or drive will take you into charming Downtown Elk Rapids. Elk Rapids is centrally located about 20 miles north of Traverse City and 30 miles south of Charlevoix.
